A Reason to love Bullets

I went to an estate sale several weeks ago and purchased loads of bullet casings. I am finally getting around to making jewelry out of them...can i just say I am in LOVE

I etched the casings to give the bullets a feminine feel and added a vintage red crystal and sweet swallow charm to finish it off.

Those of you that know me, know I love texture and quirk. I thought it might be fun to try my hand at a mixed media necklace combining my love of silks with mixed metals vintage pearls and crystal and of course an old vintage key! I am digging the way it turned out.

I made the chain a bit longer approx 30" so that my bohemian friends can layer to their hearts content.

Taking The Plunge Yet Again

Its been a long time since I have posted. My poor blog has suffered some serious neglect. I suppose there is no time like the present to change that. My blog used to be one of my favorite places to come share my projects, travels, ideas and of course my adventures as a mother. It is high time I take back the joy of blogging, the joy of sharing my creativity and most of all the joy of creating and pushing my boundaries farther than ever before.

Taking a leap of faith and changing the direction of my creativity to event planning and visual merchandising and in doing so incorporating my passion for all things beautiful.
